SCHOOL OF LAW ​

It’s a common misconception that if you study law, your only career option is to become just a lawyer. Not so. Pursuing your Bachelor of Laws Degree (LLB) at this School will prove that law is not just for lawyers, but can lead to the higher echelons of the profession. South Africa’s great legal minds include Chief Justice Mogoeng Mogoeng, Deputy Chief Justice Ray Zondo and former Chief Justice Sandile Ngcobo, not forgetting the iconic human rights lawyer Victoria Mxenge all hold a Bachelor of Laws (LLB) from UKZN. An LLB degree from an internationally-recognised institution such as UKZN is highly marketable almost everywhere in the world.

SCHOOL OF ACCOUNTING, ECONOMICS AND FINANCE

If you aspire to  pursue a SAICA-accredited Bachelor of Commerce in Accounting (BCom Acc) degree or a Bachelor of Business Science in Finance or Economics degree, then this is your School. The degrees offered by this School are best suited for analytical thinkers with a keen eye for detail and who enjoy working with numbers. The qualifications offered by this School are your gateway to well-paying careers, including but not limited to an accounting, economics, auditing, financial and investment

SCHOOL OF MANAGEMENT, INFORMATION TECHNOLOGY AND GOVERNANCE

This School offers degrees that explore various fields within the commerce sector such as finance, human resources and marketing; but we have management and administration programs that prepare you for both the private and public sector.You can choose to purse a Bachelor of Commerce – General (BCom) degree and major in Human Resources Management, Information Systems, Management, Marketing, Supply Chain Management and Public Administration. Or A Bachelor of Business Administration (BBA), this degree is in the business of preparing you for entry into, or development of existing careers in the private and public sectors. If this is not the best fit for you, then why not explore a Bachelor of Administration (BAdmin) degree, which brings together the disciplines of Public Administration, Human Resources and Business Management. This qualification is your gateway to careers in administrations within state departments, provincial and municipal governments, state trade undertakings, state corporations, various product-marketing boards.
