Overview
The School of Law offers a coursework LLM programme in Labour Studies.
The programme aims to develop a specialised knowledge of aspects of Employment Law and an understanding of the legal and policy implications thereof.
Programme Structure
Students are required to complete four modules from the prescribed list of modules, and to complete a
15 000-word dissertation. Although all modules are presented after hours, it is possible to register as a full-time or a part-time student. Full-time students may register for two modules each semester and may complete their degrees in one year, while part-time students will be allowed to register for one module each semester and complete their degrees in two years. - Advanced Labour Law
- Employment Discrimination Law
- Labour Dispute Resolution
- With the permission of the Programme Coordinator, a fourth module from one of the other programmes
Duration
The programme can be completed over one year of full-time study, or two years if part time.
Entry Requirements
Applicants must be in possession of an LLB or a BProc degree with the basic entrance requirement being a minimum overall average of 60%.
